How to change a Data source on an existing SSRS Report:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. URL: http://%reportserver%/reports
3. Select the report
4. Click on the Properties tab
5. From the menus on the left, select Data Sources
6. To use the Microsoft Data source, select a Shared Data Source
7. Click Browse and search under your report server for the following:

8. Click on OK at the bottom of this screen

9. Click on Apply at the bottom of the last screen.

The first option for June’s SSRS report give-away is List of PCs by Keyboard Layout.

This report is particularly useful for multinational companies who use multiple language PCs.  As its name suggests this report provides a list of all PCs by keyboard layout.

You will know everything there is to know about the language setting for a PC.  This is important to know because you can use this data to help with OS deployments and PC replacement details.

How to manually add in custom SSRS Reports:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. URL: http://%reportserver%/reports
3. On the tool bar directly below the tabs, click on Upload File
4. Select the rdl (Report Definition Language) file that you wish to upload
5. Click OK
6. You will now see the report name with an !New beside it.
