SQL Reporting Services in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 enables administrators to use the advanced reporting features of SSRS. Some of the advantages of using SSRS are:

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 collects significant information however not all of it is available via the ConfigMgr web reports. As well, additional information can be captured with some modifications to the SMS_def.mof to collect a wealth of information.

Enhansoft announced at Microsoft Management Summit 2009 that it has added to its Enhanced Asset Management Suite (EAM), Enhanced Web Reporting (EWR).

Enhanced Web Reporting (EWR) helps extend the asset and reporting capabilities of System Center Configuration Manager 2007, by enhancing the data collection and formatting into easy, accessible and comprehensive web reports.  There are currently over 60 additional web reports in 16 new categories. Since EWR arose in reply to customer needs, Enhansoft has implemented a feedback mechanism whereby clients can submit ideas for new reports to consider for future release.

Enhanced Asset Management Suite now contains:
