Can I submit a report for consideration for the next version?
Yes, within the documentation there is instructions on how to submit a report idea. Understand that this is not a replacement for hiring someone to create custom reports for your organization. All report ideas submitted will be reviewed for usefulness and possibility of use by other organizations.
Can I customize the reports within EWR?
No, in order to protect the intellectual property contained within the reports, each report is encrypted.
What rights do I need to install EWR?
You will require rights to create reports within ConfigMgr, database owner within your SQL database, and rights to edit the sms_def.mof / configuration.mof file.
Does EWR modify the sms_def.mof or configuration.mof?
Depending on which reports you select to install, it does modify the sms_def.mof / configuration.mof to collect more information.
Does EWR work with System Management Server 2003?
No, currently EWR does not work with SMS 2003.
Does EWR work with Reporting Services (SQL Reporting Services (SRS))?
Natively EWR does not work with SRS; however, this function is planned to be added summer/fall 2009. EWR reports should be able to be manually converted to SRS using the built-in Configuration Manager 2007 functions. Only limited testing has been done on this functionality. If you would like to be part of the alpha testing for SRS testing, please contact us.
