15th Annual Gaelic Glen Show Tournament

by Administrator 17. May 2013 19:07

Enhansoft is pleased to be a sponsor of the 15th Annual Gaelic Glen Show Tournament.

Over the course of the tournament (April 27, May 4 and May 5) 1,000 spectators enjoyed the gorgeous summer-like weather while watching participants of all ages competing for the Carol Durie Memorial Leading Rider Prize.

250 horse/rider combinations competed in this first of 11 tournaments all leading to the Provincial Finals which will be held later this year in Toronto.

Along with some serious “horsing around,” there was money being raised for the Kemptville District Hospital’s mammography campaign! $700 was raised from raffle and lemonade sales, and will be proudly donated in Carol Durie’s name.

Enhansoft sponsored the Modified Junior/Amateur Hunter Division and the champion was Marquita and Mackenzey Nadeau.

Congratulations to Mackenzey and Marquita!

How to Remotely Determine the SMS Provider Using WBEMTest

by Garth 15. May 2013 19:18

From time to time one of the questions we get is:

How can I determine what my SMS_provider path/name is?

This is important to know because if you do any System Center Configuration Manager 2012 / 2007 or even SMS 2003 automation with VBS or PoSH, you need to know what the provider path/name is for each site. This information can be queried within the SYDI-SCCM script to determine what the full provider path is on a site server. In this blog post we will show you the steps to use in order to locate the SMS provider manually. This can be very useful when troubleshooting.

Windows Management Instrumentation Tester

Click Connect…

Namespace

In the Namespace text box type \\<servername>\root\sms. In my example the server is called cm12-cm4.

Click Connect.

Enum Classes

Click Enum Classes…

Locate Namespace

Locate __NAMESPACE and double-click on it.

Instances

Click Instances.

Query Result

Here we see that the SMS provider name is site_CM4. This tells us that our full SMS provider path is \\cm12-cm4\root\sms\site_CM4. Now we can use this information to query our site server for all sorts of details.

Reminder–May’s Free SSRS Report is List of All PCs Installed Within the Last Week

by leaston 14. May 2013 16:20

This SSRS report is only free in May, so make sure to send an email to Info at Enhansoft.

List of All PCs Installed Within the Last Week will provide you with the most recent PC installation activity. This information will allow you to trouble-shoot client installation issues, or it can help you to monitor the installation process during a mass migration over a period of time.

Please Note: If any imaging, such as Windows Imaging format (WIM) or Ghost, was used then the install date might be listed as the date the image was created and not the actual install date of a particular PC.

List of All PCs Installed Within the Last Week

In the full-feature set this report will drill through to a further report, Computer Operating System Details.

List of All PCs Installed Within the Last Week is from our Operating System category of reports found in Enhanced Web Reporting. This report is worth about $200, but only in May it’s free!

All of our reports integrate with SCCM 2012 and SCCM 2007.

Default Report Parameters

by Administrator 9. May 2013 20:06

To set default report parameters in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) which is used by SCCM 2012 and 2007, using the report Overall Missing Software Update Status by Classificationas the example, first, browse to the report.

Default Report Parameter Prompts

Notice that the classification report parameter is not populated.

  • Click the Properties tab.

Properties Tab

  • Click the Parameters link.

Parameters

  • Select the Has Default check box next to classification.
  • Next, select the down arrow.

Drop-down Box

Since the Overall Missing Software Update Status is a multi-select box, you need to add one row for each item that is to become the default. In our example the defaults are Critical Updates, Security Updates, and Service Packs.

Set Classifications

  • Once completed click Apply.
  • Click the View tab.

From this point forward when this report is executed, all the report parameters will be prepopulated. The report will only display the classifications that have been selected within the defaults. Also notice that the report parameters are still visible and can be manually changed.

Final Report

These steps may vary slightly depending on the SSRS version used; SQL 2005, SQL 2008 or SQL 2012.
